APPLICATION INFORMATION

Please read all the options below carefully. Here are some things to think about when filling out your application:

 

We are inviting stall holders, traders and businesses to apply to join us and be part of our alternative plans for this year’s Festival of Thrift – Thriftfest Upcycled. 

This exciting new activity, which is still in development as we adjust to reduced budgets and staffing, will include an engaging mix of online and offline activity that ensures we stay true to our spirit of celebrating sustainability whilst still meeting government guidelines. 

We want people to enjoy the event from afar and to share, create, learn and enjoy – albeit in a different way this year – and we would like you to help us do that.

With that in mind we are developing an online opportunity for local and national traders. This will be a virtual marketplace that showcases selected sustainable businesses and offers an opportunity to be involved in a bespoke digital project.

STALL OPTIONS

£25 +VAT

For a suggested minimum fee of £25 +VAT
we are offering:

 

  • A 6 month listing on www.festivalofthrift.co.uk providing a unique platform for your business and association with our much-loved event
  • A PR and marketing campaign to raise awareness of the virtual marketplace
  • The option to provide a special Thriftfest offer that would run over the weekend celebration on 12th & 13th September
  • To feature your offer  in a Thriftfest newsletter, Instagram and Facebook stories
  • Access to our branding toolkit with logos, images and copy to use

Please note this opportunity is application based and subject to a process of selection so we can ensure equal representation and a sustainable offer.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PITCH AREAS

Standard pitch area = 3m by 3m
Large pitch area = 3m by 6m
X-Large pitch area = 6m x 6m

Pitches may be on hard standing or grass

ELECTRICITY

£20 + VAT subject to availability
A 16amp power supply with 2 x 13amp sockets.
All electrical equipment will need to be PAT tested.
Own generators are NOT permitted.

Power will be turned off overnight
(we can provide 24 hour power on request for an additional fee)

PAYMENTS

All payments will be made online.
Once you have made payment, you will be listed as a trader on the
Thrift365 website and have access to our online toolkit.

DATES & DEADLINES

Deadline for stall applications will be in June
With payment deadlines shortly after that

RUBBISH DEPOSIT

All traders will be charged a
rubbish deposit of £25, with stall payment.

Q1. Overview

To ensure a range of thrifty products re available to visitors at the Festival of Thrift 2019 all stalls must provide a range of affordable products.
Thinking about your products you must be able to answer yes to at least two of the next questions to be eligible to be an applicant. Please note that this does not guaratee a pitch.
Eg. Packaging
ie. is it economic with resources and not wasteful?
ie. Causes little or no damage to the environment
Standard pitch area – £150 + VAT = £180
Large pitch area – £175 + VAT = £210
X-Large pitch area – £250 + VAT = £300
Table within a marquee area £150 + VAT = £180
Stall Add on cost £40 + VAT = £48

Q2. Gazebos

All gazebos must adhere to outdoor festival standards (with the correct weights on each leg) the pitches are hard or soft standing depending upon location.
If yes, we will send you a link to the workshop application form.

Q3. Electricity

Q4. Access Requirements

eg – wheelchair/flat access/quiet area etc…we will endeavour to meet these requirements where possible.

Q5. Terms & Conditions

1. Completion of an Application Form does not guarantee attendance at the event. We will notify you if you have been selected to attend by 31st March 2019 at the latest.

2. SEND NO MONEY NOW. If selected full payment is payable by 30th April 2019. The Festival of Thrift reserves the right to reallocate the stand if payment is not received within the due date.

3. Stalls must be manned at all times during the festival between 10am–5pm on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2019. All traders must ensure the safety of everyone who is associated with their stand and those persons who may be affected by the activities carried out therein.

4. Terms and Conditions of Stall Hire may be subject to amendment – you will be notified of any changes. Festival of Thrift 2019.

Large Pitch – W6m x D3m – £185 + VAT
Extra Large Pitch – W6m x D6m – £265 + VAT
Note: If you book a stall you will be automatically in a hardstanding area

Q2. Gazebos

Power is not 24hrs and will be turned off over night. Cost: £20 + VAT

Q4. Access Requirements

This will incur an additional charge base on requirement.
